The obtained recording features Fallon stating, "I am not calling home… everything we talk about stays between us." Kingsway Regional's tiered system allows second-tier students to use their chosen gender and name while keeping this information hidden from parents. In an email, a teacher or counselor mentions a student wanting to share their preferred name and pronouns with teachers but without family awareness. Kingsway Regional Superintendent James Lavender attributes the policy to directives from the New Jersey Department of Education.
