It is important to find the truth even if you are wrong. When you are in the middle of the situation, things may seem bigger than they actually are. The illegal migration has hit my doorstep. It felt like I was in the middle of a set up, but the truth is just as infuriating as the manipulation.
Let’s Start With The Facts:
- On 19th May 2023, two buses dropped off illegal migrants at a hotel in Sullivan County.
- Approximately 30 military-aged males stayed at the hotel.
- No females or children were observed leaving the bus, although it is possible that some were present since the majority of people did not disembark.
- Both buses departed with the migrants refusing to leave the bus.
- The press was expelled from the premises.
- The windows of the hotel were blocked by vehicles in preparation.
- The second bus arrived at the hotel under the cover of nightfall at 9:43 PM.
- The Owner of the hotel owns other hotels in Manhattan and has received directives from the Mayor to house illegal migrants
- The owner of the hotel was not compensated for this movement at the time of the recording.
After several days of reflection, I feel compelled to share an unsettling incident that occurred during my stay at a hotel. Right from the start, the situation seemed perplexing. I was abruptly expelled from the hotel lobby and faced threats regarding my residency for documenting what was unfolding. It struck me as peculiar that such a significant event was taking place without any prior notification to the residents. Initially, I assumed it might be a blood drive due to the booth-like setup in the lobby. However, to my surprise, I discovered that the hotel staff was engaged in a hushed discussion about the paperwork related to undocumented immigrants and where to locate the necessary information for their processing.
Unraveling a Disturbing Incident
I started to film and the discussion ended as soon as I attracted attention. The group fell silent, and the owner of the hotel promptly escorted me out, brandishing threats that jeopardized my residency status. Later on, I found myself trailed down the corridor by the event coordinator, who implored me to “respect the privacy of the people coming in.” In response, I firmly stated that I, too, value my privacy. This situation not only has broader implications for our country, but it also directly affects my home. The establishment is welcoming individuals who are granted exceptions that I, as a resident, cannot obtain. Moreover, these individuals may introduce foreign pathogens and other potentially harmful elements that could endanger the residents, who have already been exposed to various risks. Most importantly, this situation jeopardizes my livelihood. By obstructing my ability to earn a living in my own home, the hotel is effectively prioritizing the privacy of these individuals over mine.
Emotions escalated, leading to another encounter with the owner, who reiterated his expulsion threat with greater force. In response, I conveyed that if prioritizing the privacy of undocumented immigrants mattered more to him than the privacy of his loyal customers, then he would face more significant challenges than he currently anticipates. They persisted in tailing me as I attempted to exit the building, forcing me to raise my voice and demand that they leave me alone.
I found myself highly agitated. I fail to comprehend why there is a need to conceal the events taking place if everything was on the up and up. If this is a humanitarian crisis, the hotel owner should be commended for his struggles to help an endangered population. Instead, the press was ousted from the premises, and the windows were shielded with a fleet of vehicles, further intensifying the peculiarity of the situation.
Unveiling Hidden Agendas
At the peak of the day, there were 11 protesters present. While some remarks like “Go Back Home” were uttered, there was a considerable distance between the protesters and the bus, and there was no indication of any imminent threat of violence. Many of the protesters emphasized that their stance was not against the individuals themselves but rather against the unjustness of the situation.
The security measures were significantly heightened, and even I faced attempts to prevent me from entering the building. The bus remained parked outside for approximately two hours, with the migrants refusing to disembark. I was informed that the bus eventually departed because the migrants did not feel secure. The entire situation felt orchestrated, given the secrecy and the escalated security, coupled with discussions of fear without any tangible threat. However, from my perspective within the situation, it appeared much more significant. The reality, though, seems to be more human.

It appears that the migrants are in search of a better place to settle. They seemed to have used the bus as leverage, keeping themselves onboard as a means of negotiation. It was perplexing how they steadfastly refused to exit the bus, even when food and beverages were provided outside. It wasn’t a staged setup, but the actual truth is just as infuriating.
It becomes apparent that more tax dollars are being allocated towards addressing unnecessary movement associated with illegal activities arriving right at our doorstep. There were discussions about potential health concerns, including the presence of fungi within the group. Their claims of fear were then utilized as a tool to further manipulate the system. Not only are tax dollars allocated to this move, but people can not get off of work and go home because their bus has been commandeered.
This not only poses a significant challenge for the administrative resources, but the residents of the small town, which experiences a population surge during the summer months. It also raises concerns about the health and well-being of the individuals, particularly the children, staying at the hotel. Children on a limited medical system are introduced to new pathogens, fungi and bacteria.
Strained Communities and the Call for Effective Border Control
In light of recent events, it is crucial to address the deep-seated frustrations and concerns surrounding this incident. Occurrences like these should not be unfolding across the country. People are not commodities and should not be treated as such. Furthermore, the responsibility for funding and managing these situations should not fall on the shoulders of American taxpayers.
The call for stricter border control measures resonates strongly, as the far-reaching impact of these events extends beyond localized areas. Sullivan County, now grappling with a state of emergency, exemplifies the overwhelming strain placed on communities ill-equipped to handle the sudden influx of individuals. This strain is compounded by an existing inept system unable to effectively address not only this influx, but also the challenges posed by the preexisting homeless and drug addicted population that already burdens the area.
Neglecting Our Own
The dire circumstances faced by the small community in question cannot be ignored. The strain on government outreach programs is already overwhelming, given the substantial homeless and drug-addicted population they are attempting to assist. It is disheartening to witness the disparity between the resources allocated to support individuals engaged in illegal activities and the neglect faced by the community’s own residents.
The hotel itself serves as a stark symbol of this disparity. Despite its prolonged lack of essential maintenance, such as a new refrigerator or door lock, the sudden influx of supplies and assistance for those who have not paid for their stay raises valid concerns about resource allocation. It becomes increasingly difficult to reconcile the prioritization of individuals involved in illegal activities over the struggles faced by local citizens who have been left to contend with the hardships of the streets.
Additionally, the shortcomings of certain outreach programs in addressing critical issues cannot be ignored. Their knowledge of the adverse effects of drug addiction on parenting, for example, should have prompted swifter action to protect vulnerable children. Tragically, the passing of time has resulted in the devastating fentanyl overdose of an infant, exposing a significant failure in the system meant to support and safeguard its own citizens.
The well-being of American children should always be a top priority, and it is essential for our government and society to ensure that they are provided with the necessary support and opportunities to thrive. While addressing the needs of vulnerable populations is important, it should not come at the expense of neglecting our own citizens.
Accountability, Responsible Leadership, and Civic Engagement
It is crucial for policymakers to consider the long-term implications and potential consequences of their decisions. Sanctuary cities and policies that allocate taxpayer funds towards supporting illegal activities can create complex challenges and strain resources that could otherwise be directed towards addressing pressing issues within our own communities.
Accountability and responsible leadership are fundamental to effective governance. It is disheartening when politicians prioritize their own interests or shift blame onto others instead of taking responsibility for the policies they support. True leadership requires integrity, empathy, and a genuine commitment to the well-being of all citizens. Mayor Adams, though having no dignity at all, is now realizing the fault in this policy. He blames the south for the problems and not the implementation of policy that he supports, as long as it is not in New York and he does not have to deal with it.
To create a stronger and more just society, we must stand for something. We need to participate in the existing voting system to make a change. This includes holding slumlords accountable for providing safe and adequate housing, implementing policies that promote equal opportunities and access to education, healthcare, and employment, and fostering a sense of community where everyone has a voice and their rights are respected.
As individuals, we have the power to stand up for what we believe in and advocate for meaningful change. By engaging in constructive dialogue, supporting organizations and initiatives that champion the rights and well-being of all Americans, and actively participating in the democratic process, we can work towards eliminating the shortcomings and shortcomings in our leadership and policies.
Ultimately, we must remember that we are not mere cattle to be herded and used for political agendas. We are individuals with rights, hopes, and dreams, and it is our collective responsibility to create a society that values and uplifts every member. By striving for fairness, justice, and compassion, we can build a better future for ourselves and the generations to come.
